Welcome to Your Paranormal Texas

Hello and welcome to Your Paranormal Texas. A podcast where we are going to cover paranormal events that are mainly based in Texas. We know that there are a lot of paranormal podcast out there, and we support and appreciate them all. But we want to try something different here. Texas is a big state with a lot of historical and current paranormal events and we want to try and bring those stories to you. We love all things paranormal here. We know that there is more to the world than meets the eye. There is a lot going on behind the veil, under the surface, in that other dimension that is so close that you can feel it. That’s what we’re searching for here. The things you experience with that sixth sense as well.

We want to talk to Texans about their experiences, we want to give them an outlet to tell their stories.

👹 UFOs, Ghost, Cryptids and more. We love it all!

So while our subject matter is very broad and covers everything in the supernatural spectrum from those strange lights in the sky, to those things that go bump in the night. We want our focus to be local, and at the same time, state wide. We want to talk to Texans about their experiences, we want to give them an outlet to tell their stories. So that is what we are going to try and do here and have some fun while we’re doing it and maybe learn a little something along the way.

It sure seems likes there has been a surge of interests in the Paranormal in last few years. You see it all across our culture these days in film and television, with dramas about hauntings and investigations of haunted locations and ghosts, shows about UFO’s and alien encounters, to shows with monster hunters searching in the woods to catch a glimpse of their elusive quarry. The paranormal is no longer been relegated to just conversations and speculations between friends and the subject matter of midnight movie marathons. It seems more people than ever have been willing to admit that there is something else going on and it isn’t all fiction.

The Marfa Lights. Marfa, Texas.
The Driskill Hotel was built in 1886. Austin, Texas.
The Marfa Lights—or Marfa Mystery Lights, as some call them—are a top reason to visit Marfa, drawing visitors from around the globe for a chance to see these unexplained phenomena. Accounts of the strange spectacle just east of Marfa began during the 19th century and continue to this day.
The Driskill was and quite possibly is LBJ’s favorite place in Austin. To this day, people recount tales of stumbling into the ballroom and catching the reflection of the late president and his adoring wife on the mirrors or out the corner of their eyes.

👽 Many Believe

According to a 2021 Gallup poll survey conducted in July. 🛸 4 in 10 Americans now think UFO’s are exotic alien craft from off world visitors. This is up from roughly 3 in 10 Americans since 2019. In addition, 5 in 10 Americans believe it can be explained by human activity or natural phenomenon, which is down from 6 out of 10 in 2019. https://news.gallup.com/poll/350096/americans-believe-ufos.aspx

According to a USA today article published Oct. 28th 2021. “2 in 5 Americans believe ghosts are real and 1 in five say they’ve seen one’ survey says”. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/10/28/do-ghosts-exist-41-percent-americans-say-yes/8580577002/

According to civicscience.com a company which publishes “real-time, reliable consumer data and in-depth intelligence” 🦶 11% of US adults believe Bigfoot is real in a study published in May of 2020! https://civicscience.com/bigfoot-is-real-for-11-of-u-s-adults/

Granted these surveys are taken from samples of the population but all this statistical data points to something significant, that a lot of people are now willing to publicly admit that the paranormal may actually be real.

Remember, back in the old days, when people used to mock or discredit people who would come forward with a UFO sighting or a ghost story. People would say, “Oh, they just have a very vivid imagination” or maybe the old “They were probably hitting the sauce, if you know what I mean” nudge, nudge, wink. Well things have definitely changed since then I would say, and those folks may be forced to rethink their opinions.

🏛️ Government  Acknowledgement

With recent revelations from government insiders about secret UAP investigations, and videos of UAP’s stalking American warships being officially recognized by the Navy. The government it would seem is changing its policy towards UFO’s. After more than 50 years of an official and unofficial debunking campaign against UFO sightings and experiencers, the government is very uncharacteristically changing its official position on the existence of the UAP phenomenon. Which makes me curious as to why. But we will explore this topic further on the podcast.

As for me and my family, it all started in an old Victorian home in Beaumont Texas. I grew up in Beaumont, spent my first 15 years of life there, and in 1980 my parents bought an old house that was built in the 18th century and if it could talk, I’m sure it would have had quite a story to tell. But, as many people who have experienced a haunting can attest, you don’t need to be an investigator to know someone else has lived in your home. By all accounts our haunting was fairly benign albeit alarming at times, like many who have had brushes with the strange or supernatural, and trust me, I’m grateful for that. But those experiences stuck with us and ignited a curiosity that has lasted a life time. We cover some of these experiences in our first episode.

🎯 Our Goal for this Podcast

One of the goals of our podcast is talk to people who investigate the paranormal and experiencers who have lived it. I’m certain they are often one in the same. We would like to understand the methodologies and technologies used for investigation and hear their first hand experiences. We want to know what it’s like to stalk a ghost, UFO, or cryptid.

What we would also like to do here at Your Paranormal Texas is create a place where people can tell their stories. We want to hear your story. We believe you. We know because we have experienced the paranormal ourselves. It’s real and we know it. So tell us, write us an email, and describe your experience. Whether it’s a UFO sighting, a haunting, or a cryptid sighting, no matter how strange or bizarre we are absolutely interested. We may even read it on the podcast!
