Introduction to YPT Episode 2

The Cash Landrum UFO case.

Hi Everyone and welcome to Your Paranormal Texas Episode 2. On this episode we will be discussing a rather unusual UFO case that occurred during the holidays on December 29th of 1980 in North East Houston. It is officially classified as a Close Encounter of the 2nd kind. Two friends and co-workers, Betty Cash and Vickie Landrum and a child, Colby Landrum, Vickie’s grandson, were traveling the area looking for a Bingo parlor to pass the time playing one of their favorite games. They soon realized due to the Holidays many of the Bingo games had been canceled and none of the parlors were open and decided to eat a local truck stop restaurant. They ate were on their way home from the restaurant when suddenly one of them notices a bright light hovering above the pine trees along the road at a distance. As they continue down the road the light gets closer, to the point where eventually it intersects with them on the roadway. I will discuss the event further in the podcast, but it gets very interesting. If you are interested in further details Wikipedia is a great resource.

Essentially what makes this case different was that the witnesses claim to have been physically injured by the alleged UFO and later sought compensation from the government in civil court. What I really like about this case is how well documented it was. These women were very adamant that the government had something to do with it and even contacted legislators for assistance. They were visited by several high-profile UFO investigative organizations, and even contacted and were interviewed by the Air Force.

So don’t miss this one, its going to be a good one!👽
